With the holiday season just gone, many of us may have pushed our bodies with overindulgence and lack of sleep. Which is why, this January we promoted a range of our detox products to help your bodies start off the year feeling lighter and healthier.
Our bodies tend to communicate these toxin overloads to us in various ways:
- Skin Problems that arise in the form of acne, eczema, flakey and dehydrated skin.
- Gut problems like bloating, acid reflux, constipation or diarrhea.
- Lethargy, brain fog and constant fatigue.

A detox may also be required if you are taking too many medications and overloading your body with drug toxicity. We recommend you clear any type of detox with your doctor first.
The benefits of a cleanse or a detox are immeasurable and a great way to start a new year:
Reduced inflammation helps your immunity build up, it clears your gut and any skin problems. It also helps you sleep better at night and perform optimally during the day. Inflammation is the number one cause of disease and can be easily avoided by regular detoxes and a mindful eating.
While our bodies have a natural way of flushing out toxins, we still recommend using detox supplements which are a safe way of kickstarting the detox function already inbuilt in your body. This, paired with a healthy diet and frequent exercise helps to release these toxins. opt for a balanced diet incorporating a good amount of fresh fruit and vegetables, organically sourced meat and eggs and avoid processed foods altogether. We also recommend avoiding dairy and gluten products during your cleanse for optimal results. Nuts and healthy fats such as avocado, fish, flaxseeds, pecans and walnuts are also wholesome, filling and easy to use in your meal plans. Alcohol and tobacco should ideally not be consumed at all during your cleanse.
We recommend a cleansing for a minimum of 10 days and for upto 1 month to really feel a difference. As for how often, listen to your body and look out for the signs listed above. Once you are more intuitive with your body you will automatically become more aware of toxin buildup and the more aware you are, the more conscious you will become about what you put into your body.
When detoxing you need to ensure you are drinking plenty of water to aid in flushing out the toxins. Herbal tea is also great to use. We don’t recommend drinking too many fruit juices as these could lead to an electrolyte imbalance and are also very high in sugar.
